Decent Homes Surveys
Working on behalf local authorities and housing associations, Edgeworth Street now offers a cost effective decent homes surveying service for bulk property portfolios.
A Decent Home, as laid down in the Decent Homes Standard, is one that meets the following criteria:
- Achieves the current statutory minimum standard for housing
- Is in a reasonable state of repair
- Has reasonably modern facilities and services
- Provides a reasonable degree of thermal comfort.
All social landlords are affected by this new standard and are required to implement strategies to manage the stock and non-decency.
Local authorities are required to set out how they will deliver decent housing in the Housing Revue Account (HRA) business plan.
We now offer stock condition surveys anywhere in the UK to identify non-decent homes and work closely with local authorities and their agents to deliver accurate information in a timely manner.
If you require further information on this service, or would like a no-obligation quotation for decent homes surveys, please call David Carter or Robert Street on 0121 711 7110 or complete the form below.
Please note that this service is available only to local authorities and registered housing associations in England and Wales.
