Concrete Floors and Roads
Concrete floors deteriorate with age and use in commercial buildings and it’s rarely a quick, cheap job to get a concrete floor repaired or replaced.
We have helped hundreds of clients with their concrete flooring problems, whether it be simple advice on smaller jobs, or when specifying a complete replacement concrete floor in a large warehouse or factory.

A newly laid concrete floor in a large warehouse environment
New concrete floors add considerable “tenant appeal” to tired old warehouse space.

Damage to road surface caused by turning lorries
In addition to concrete floors, there are occasions when concrete is the most suitable product for road repairs, for example in transport depots where large, heavy lorries can wreck traditional macadam road surfaces.
This surface is less than one month old. Had we been advising this client at the beginning, they would have saved many thousands of pounds, as the macadam surface is simply not strong enough for the purpose it was laid.
Unfortunately, nobody at the design stage anticipated the damage that might be caused by heavy lorries having to manoeuvre in tight turning circles.

Sunken floor in warehouse built over a filled-in pond
This concrete floor sank because the industrial unit has been built over a filled-in pond.
It had subsequently been used for heavy engineering and sank, resulting in regular pooling inside the building.
As chartered building surveyors, our advice is always impartial. We can advise on appropriate solutions to the problem in hand, compile tender documents & manage the tendering process and project manage the work through to completion, with all necessary guarantees.
Our expertise in this area is unsurpassed and you can be certain of a fast and friendly response in language you will understand.
